Scale, Tail, & Claw
Care Pamphlet

An Auri-Centric Skincare Business ran by Jaliqai Qestir and Kokochu Oronir of the Azim Steppe.

Care Tutorial.

Step One
Do a quick once over of the scales with a brush. This is to get off the easiest to remove scales and dirt. This should be done with the subject either naked or mostly naked, so that one can do the whole body, in a single sitting. This is NOT recommended if someone has heavy shed build up. That requires a professional, and medical accoutrements on hand if there is rot present.
Step Two
Wash with soap, water, and a towel. If they have a lot of shed, after they are rinsed, do a wipe of the scales with castor oil, and let that sit. Once a half bell is done, rinse.
Step Three
Use a combination of brushes, based on the health, age, and sensitivity to abrasion. Your goal is to remove stuck bits that came off between the two first steps. A recommendation is to use a Manzasari brush, and switch to a Halgai for the more sensitive areas.
Do a quick rinse after this.
Step Four
Apply the peeler to all parts of the body, but especially the largest scaled parts. The more textured bits should be on the scales, and the less textured, on the flesh. You may need to use a full jar for a very scaled, or big person. After another half bell, take a warmed towel, and begin to peel and wipe the scales. Be very careful not to break scales that may be broken, unless you are sure of your medical accoutrements on hand.
Once the peeling is done, rinse and wipe with a towel. You want to do another check of the scales, and brush as necessary, again, preferably a combination of the brushes from earlier. Rinse after this is done.
Step Five
Use a lotion, or soothing oil. Coconut is the general product. Lotion should focus on the skin, and mostly where the scales and the skin rest, and apply just a light layer, so the skin can absorb it. The oil should be used on the larger sections of scales, and on the more sun exposed scales. These you want to use a moist, warm, towel to gently dab excess off of both.
Let set, rinse, and dress back up, you are all set!
